Funnel types

Choose a funnel that matches your offer:

  • Free lead magnet — capture email, deliver a free file/ebook
  • Free + premium — lead capture, then upsell a paid product
  • Direct purchase — skip the freebie and send visitors to checkout

Screens

A popup can include Teaser (optional), Initial, Sales (for free + premium), and Thank you. Thank you is a separate screen after conversion. Sales stays in the design even if another funnel temporarily hides it from visitors.

Publishing checklist

Before publish, ConvertNest expects a connected site, the right products for your funnel, and a linked delivery email template. Fix any publish errors in Funnel settings, then publish to unlock the embed snippet.

Questions customers ask

What is the difference between Draft, Live, Paused, and Archived?

Draft is editable and not served. Live is published to the embed. Paused keeps the popup but stops serving it. Archived hides it from day-to-day work while retaining the design.

Can I generate a popup with AI?

Yes. Use New popup → Generate popup with AI. Provide site, offer details, images, and products. ConvertNest creates screens (and a delivery email) from a template clone plus AI rewrite when an API key is configured.

How do triggers work?

Triggers control when the popup appears. You can add several at once — for example two CTA buttons plus on visit. Types include delay, scroll, exit intent, idle, and element click. Frequency and device settings limit how often automatic triggers fire. Any page button with data-cn-open="{public key}" can open the same popup, and clicks can reopen it after close.

Can I edit the JSON of a screen?

Yes. Use Edit JSON in the popup editor to paste or tweak a screen shell. Invalid JSON is rejected so the builder stays stable.

Why can’t I publish yet?

Open Funnel settings and complete missing fields: site, free/paid products for the funnel mode, and an email template. Publish validation lists each blocking issue.
